Great Lake Gatherings

The Lake Michigan Basin is one of Wisconsin's most treasured and heavily used resources. The watershed is an essential component of the economic and cultural identity of our region, as well as supporting a unique and impressive array of biological diversity. As the region grows, how do we care for this great resource on which our quality of life depends?

The Lake Michigan Shorelands Alliance is hosting the Great Lake Gatherings this Fall to ensure that we all work together to preserve this beautiful land along the shoreline for future generations. These four community forums are bringing together local business owners, government officials, community leaders, landowners and other citizens to tackle the complex challenges facing the watershed.

Join us for the Great Lake Gathering in your community! There will be no charge to attend the Gatherings, which will take place in key communities along Lake Michigan:

  • Green Bay: September 16 , UW-Green Bay
  • Sheboygan: October 1 , John Michael Kohler Art Center
  • Mequon: October 8 , Mequon Nature Preserve
  • Milwaukee: October 15 , Milwaukee Art Museum

If you live, work, or play in the Lake Michigan Basin, mark your calendar and come to a Gathering: see what you can do to keep the Great Lake's future bright!
